Peterborough away this Saturday
No cricket for Saturday so going thinking about to this - with the Europa game I don’t expect to see many 1st team players, all thought Payet might have a run around?.

Anyway anyone going?

Couple of ex hammers likely to line up for them too.

Re: Peterborough away this Saturday
Be a lot more first team players playing P'Boro than in Andorra

You won't have Payet as he's not started pre-season yet but Hendrie and Obiang will be playing along with Cresswell, Reid, Collins, Noble, Nolan, Adrian & Downing.

Re: Peterborough away this Saturday
Definitely be a decent team I imagine as Peterborough are a 1st division team..

It's only the games against the likes of Purfleet where it's younth players only.

Re: Peterborough away this Saturday
Bilic first game on the bench too I guess.

Maybe Dicks too.

Number of first teamers out.

Jack Collison and Kieran Sadlier to give a good welcome too.

What's not to like about this fixture apart from it being in Peterborough?

Sadly Woody, 3 days off this week and possibly 3 days off next week means I'm going to have to bang the friendlies on the nut and make up the time lost working.

Re: Peterborough away this Saturday
I can see the team v Peterborough being a better team than the one that plays in Andorra.... the two squads then come together for the first time the following Monday.

Will be very interesting to see how the rest of preseason is treated... will Bilic continue to play a more youthful side in EL and keep the bulk of the first team squad for the more orthadox friendlies with less travel etc..?

Also be very interested to know what the thinking is should we get to the group stages, will Bilic try and play his best 11 as much as possible and risk fatigue or effectively have a PL and EL squad... the way that the squad is shaping up with pretty good depth I reckon we could see two distinct teams, one for a Thursday and one for Sunday, barring injuries of course.

Re: Peterborough away this Saturday
Total guess here considering I've no idea which right backs are training in Ireland cos O'Brien and Knoyle are with the Europa squad

Adrian

Hendrie, Collins, Reid, Cresswell

Noble, Obiang

Downing, Nolan, Samuelson

Maiga or Jordan Brown

Re: Peterborough away this Saturday
PL EL
Adrian Randolph
Jenkinson JOB
Reid Tomkins
Ogbonna Collins
Cresswell Hendrie
Song Noble
Kouyate Poyet
Obiang Amalfitano
Payet Zarate
Sakho Carroll
Valencia Jarvis / Miaga

Obviously other plays will (hopefully) come in but I don't think that EL side is too bad, especially if we add Cabaye and another decent striker.

Never forget when we had this lot in the league. Just after when we played Millwall at home and we were on a bit of a run.
They didn’t have under soil heating and I was emailing the local paper for weather updates.

Reid ---------------Tomkins
Ogbonna ---------Collins
Cresswell --------Hendrie
Song ---------------Noble
Kouyate -----------Poyet
Obiang ------------Amalfitano
Payet ---------------Zarate

The toilets at Peterborough are very much like the ones in The Lord Stanley

If Besiktas is anthing to go by ludo, we'll be going for everything with full strength teams.

And I don't buy in to the fatigue bollocks anyway.

These fuckers are paid serious dough to be as fit as any sportsmen in the world and so can manager playing footie twice a week.
